The China Management Team



BJÖRN ODENBRO, General Manager
Björn (M.Sc. in Business Administration, International Business School, Jönköping) has lived in China since the beginning of 2003, and before then spent time in Japan. Before joining Carbon Asset Management Sweden (now Tricorona Carbon Asset Management), he worked in IT & Telecom Research and Consulting, and later in investment and strategy consulting.

As Tricorona’s Chief Representative in China, Björn set up Carbon Asset Management Sweden’s Beijing Representative Office (CAMBRO) in the fall of 2006. He has since then managed Tricorona’s operation in China and CAMBRO, which currently employs 25 people that work with origination of new CDM projects, their validation and registration, as well as their monitoring and verification.


MINGMING YANG, Assistant general manager
Min joined Tricorona (then Carbon Asset Management Sweden) as Business Development Director in 2006 and was one of the three original Tricorona team members that was part of setting up its China operation.

Before joining Tricorona, Min worked successfully for about four years in real estate sales management, and later switched to work with sales for just above one year in the advertising industry.

At CAMBRO, Min heads the Business Development Department, with the main task to originate new potential CDM projects and the expansion of Tricorona’s portfolio of carbon credits. Under her management, Tricorona has originated one of the largest carbon portfolios in China. She has also been responsible for developing and maintaining Tricorona’s relationships in the power and utilities sector, as well as with the relevant government departments in China.



SHUYONG SUN, Technical Director
Shuyong (B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Dalian University of Technology; M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Peking University ) joined Tricorona in the fall of 2008 as Technical Director for China.

Shuyong started working in investment into environmental technology at the China National Environmental Protection Corporation, where his tasks included investment and risk analysis, as well as design of project proposals and feasibility reports, etc. He later switched employers to Det Norske Veritas (DNV), where he started as Product Development Manager for the Voluntary Reduction Scheme, before moving on to become Technical Manager for Climate Change Services, and finally China manager for Climate Change Services.

At Tricorona, Shuyong manages the Beijing technical team, and thus oversees the company’s activities related to evaluating, validating and registering CDM projects originated in the Chinese market, and then monitoring and verifying them through-out their CDM life-times.


XIAOSHU XIA, Commercial Director
   
Xiaoshu(MBA, international management, University of Ottawa, Canada) has begun her career in the CDM as early as March 2005. She was one of the six initial team members setting up the CDM Office of China Datang Corporation, later as the head of its carbon asset management (verification) team.  Through her five-year work in the field, she has gained much insight into the industry as well as extensive experiences in both commercial and technical aspects of the business.  Prior to 2005, Xiaoshu worked in environmental consulting both in Canada and the Republic of Maldives.

Xiaoshu joined Tricorona in the spring of 2010 as Commercial Director.


BOKAI HUANG, Director of Technology Transfer Department (China)
Bokai (M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure at Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden) joined Tricorona by the end of 2008 as Director of the Chinese Technology Transfer Unit.

Bokai worked eight years at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, Stockholm, and focused on water resource management, energy efficiency, and climate change. His assignments included various international projects in China, Russia, Thailand and Chile, for the European Union (EU), Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), Swedish Trade Council and Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket).

At Tricorona, Bokai leads the Beijing Tech Transfer Department. Under his management, the Tech Transfer Unit evaluates Swedish and other European clean technologies, identifies and promotes potential applications for these tech providers in China, and eventually structure project financing.
