How it works

The greenhouse effect is a global problem that affects all of us. Greenhouse gases exacerbate the greenhouse effect, regardless of where in the world they are released. Correspondingly, all measures that reduce emissions entail a reduction in the global greenhouse effect, regardless of where the reduction takes place.
This is the foundation for the Kyoto Protocol.

Travel by air releases a certain amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere, which increases the greenhouse effect. For example, a flight between Arlanda Airport, Stockholm and Heathrow Airport, London releases approximately 160 kg of CO2, which has the greenhouse effect of twice that amount, 320 kg of CO2, when taking other greenhouse gases into consideration.

Air travellers can reduce the impact on the climate of their flight by purchasing the equivalent amount of carbon dioxide neutralisation, i.e. 320 kg of CO2 in the above example, from a project that reduces emissions. The projects in which we invest satisfy the most stringent criteria and would not have come about had they not received payment for the reduction in CO2.

This means that your investment is helping to realise these projects.
