Tricorona shall set a good example when we, as a company, take our responsibility for the climate and in an exemplary way inform and inspire our clients, policy makers, competitors and our partners about the path to a sustainable society.
Tricorona shall outperform the environmental legislation where we act.
Tricorona´s business is based on mitigating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
This we accomplish through:
- Development of CDM projects within the framework of the UNFCCC. These projects produce UN-certified emissions reduction units
- Strategic advisory services for our clients
- Raising awareness of how business and individuals can reduce their impact on the climate
The environmental impact of Tricorona’s businesses is dominated by travel related to managing our CDM projects. In addition, Tricorona impacts the environment from the usage of energy and other resources. We take responsibility for our environmental impact in the following ways:
- We offset our direct and indirect emissions of greenhouse gases by retirement of certified emissions reductions from CDM projects.
- We strive to continually improve the environmental performance of our operations by reducing the usage of resources and switching over to products and services with lower environmental impact. This work is managed through our Travel Policy, our Energy Policy and our Purchase Policy.
