Tricorona signs CER Purchase Agreements with Eco Carbon
On January 18th, 2012 Tricorona and Eco Carbon Pvt. Ltd. signed agreements for the purchase of Certified Emission Reductions from two Fal-G Brick and Blocks Projects (Bundles 5 & 6) in India.
The projects are expected to generate a combined total of 100,000 CER per annum. The projects employ FaL-G technology in brick manufacturing facilities for production of alternative building materials. The technology requires no sintering process thereby avoiding the use of the fossil fuel (coal) in the brick production process. The Fal-G bricks and blocks provide an alternative to the traditional burnt clay bricks that require the consumption of fossil fuel.
Eco Carbon is the pioneer of the Fal-G technology and has successfully registered the first two Fal-G Brick and Block projects with the CDM Executive Board.
