  2008-09-25 Tricorona and Sustainia partner to provide climate servicesSustainia, a Swedish sustainability consultancy, and Tricorona, a global leader in carbon offsetting, announced today a new partnership under which they will provide packaged climate services to their global customer base. “Our core business is helping our customers manage their sustainability issues from a strategic perspective,” says Inga Birath von Sydow, CEO Sustainia, “and climate and other environmental issues are a central element. Our partnership with Tricorona means that we can now offer our customers comprehensive carbon management services, including climate audits, climate strategies and carbon offsetting.” Climate audits quantify an organisation’s climate impact, according to international standards, allowing benchmarking and cross-comparisons, while climate strategies help organisations to reduce their climate impact. Carbon offsetting of the remaining emissions is based on UN certified climate projects within the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol.
