  2008-12-18 Tricorona offsets Fortum's air travel emissionsTricorona, a world leader in carbon offsetting, and Fortum, a major Nordic provider of energy, announced today that Tricorona had offset Fortum’s climate impact from groupwide air travel, using Gold Standard CDM projects under the Kyoto Protocol. “Fortum works hard to reduce its emissions,” says Carola Teir-Lehtinen, Corporate Vice President, Sustainability, “and air travel is one of the areas we can influence. By introducing state of the art videoconferencing facilities we can reduce air travel to internal meetings.
