  2007-12-19 Tricorona and Goodpoint in new climate cooperationGOODPOINT OCH TRICORONA JOINS IN PARTNERSHIP TO OFFER PACKAGED CLIMATE SERVICES Goodpoint, one of the leading Swedish consultant companies within sustainability, and Tricorona, one of the world leading actors on the carbon reduction market, announces today cooperation in order to offer the market packaged climate services. ”We have since long been helping our customers to develop and communicate climate strategies aimed at reducing the climate impact,” sais Magnus Boman, CEO Goodpoint. “Through our cooperation with Tricorona we now also can offer our customers to compensate the remaining emissions using high quality, certified climate neutralising projects.” The emissions are compensated via carbon neutralisation projects from the Tricorona portfolio of projects in renewable energy production in India and China. The projects are certified within the framework of the Kyoto protocols Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). Since the projects are based on renewable energy production, the compensation also reduces the global dependency of fossil fuel. ”Climate compensation has to be part of a wider strategy aiming at reducing the direct emissions.
