Tricorona’s portfolio consist mainly of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects that span the globe from Europe to Central America, South America, Central Asia, South East Asia, East Africa and West Africa, including many Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
Tricorona was an early mover in the international carbon market and has since built one of the largest portfolios of CDM projects in the market. With the potential to reduce up to 136 million tons before 2021, Tricorona’s portfolio represents emission reductions of a magnitude that corresponds to half of the EU-15’s combined Kyoto target.
The volume of emission reductions in Tricorona’s portfolio, as well as the diversity in terms of geographic distribution, project type and sector provides good risk diversification and reduces the overall portfolio risk.
